ALIEN NEIGHBOURHOODis my Diploma-Film. It is an 8‘29min. 35mm Animation-Action-Short Film in Stereo Surround Sound for children and adults as well.

Produced at the Filmakademie Baden Württemberg 1997-99, it made its way to the silverscreen in 1999 for the first time on the CINEMAGIC FILM FESTIVAL in Belfast and was show in Februrary 2000 on the FIFEM in Montreal. In December 2000 it was also showed at the 3rd Olympia Film Festival and will be screened in November 2001 in Sousse/Tunesia at the International Film Festival for Youth and Childhood too.

SYNOPSIS
Jan Michael Are Brothers And Are Curious About What Is Going On On The Other Side Of The Fence. This Is Why They Decide To Check Out What Is Going On On The Other Side Of The Fence The Following Night. Their Curiosity Is Getting Them Into Danger, But They Are Saved By The Strange Looking Neighbour, Who At Least Is No Alien At All.

THE CHARACTERS
THE INVENTOR
IS A SOMEHOW STRANGE BUT NICE OLD MAN. HE IS AN INVENTOR AND AN ARTIST IN ONE PERSON, LIVING IN A WORLD OF HIS OWN.

JAN
THE YOUNGER ONE OF THE TWO BROTHERS, IS 6 YEARS OF AGE AND ALWAYS WANTING TO DO THINGS BETTER THAN HIS OLDER BROTHER. HE LOVES SCIENCE-FICTION TOYS.

MICHAEL
THE OLDER ONE OF THE BROTHERS, IS 11 YEARS OLD AND A LITTLE PERCOCIOUS. HE LOVES HIS LITTLE BROTHER, BUT SOMETIMES LITTLE BROTHERS ARE A PEST.

THE LAUNDRY-SPIDER
IS THE INVENTORS CREATION. HE INVENTED IT FOR AUTOMATIC LAUNDRY DRYING, BUT SOMETHING WENT WRONG SOMEHOW.
